An ability to foster successors is the first requirement of any leader.
At a Soka Gakkai Headquarters leaders meeting in August 1976, I offered the following guidelines for leaders of the Mystic Law:
Take good care of our successors.
Take good care of the elderly.
Take good care in your daily words and actions.
Take good care in your personal appearance.
Take good care of women and young women.
Take good care of your workplace and society.
