In effect this is saying that now Nichiren and his followers, practitioners of the Lotus Sutra who chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, are the bodhisattva Never Disparaging of the Latter Day of the Law.

The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings is said to be a transcript of Nichiren Daishonin’s lectures on the essential passages of the Lotus Sutra delivered at Minobu, which Nikko Shonin recorded and compiled with the Daishonin’s permission.
The Gosho passage we are studying this time is a passage from “Chapter Twenty: The Bodhisattva Never Disparaging, Thirty important points.” Bodhisattva Never Disparaging is said to be Shakyamuni...
