Members on Japan’s outlying islands held a variety of events to help their communities flourish.
On the islands of Tsushima and Iki in Nagasaki Prefecture; on Fukue Island, part of Nagasaki’s Goto Islands; and on the Okinoerabu Islands in Kagoshima Prefecture, members took the lead in organising island-wide festivals and other events. They also worked hard to preserve and pass on local songs, dances and other aspects of traditional island culture.
Many members actively took on various tasks and responsibilities on their islands and in their communities, dedicating themselves to serving their fellow residents.
