I was born in Japan and the third generation of my family to practise Nichiren Buddhism. I began to practise independently when I became a nurse in Japan in 2006.
I joined the Shirakaba Group – Soka Gakkai members who are professional nurses. The group was named by President Ikeda. Shirakaba is the Japanese name for white birch trees. Shira means “white,” while kaba is the combined kanji characters...
