On February 7, 200, SGM members nationwide gathered at their respective state culture centres for a commemorative gongyo meeting to usher in the Lunar New Year “Year of Rat”

SGM General Director Choo Kong Fei in his message, encouraged the members to put in efforts in the two ways of practice and study for the next ten years, and to attend all discussion and study meetings. He hoped that everyone would enhance their humanity by practising the life philosophy of Nichiren and President Ikeda’s peace ideals and thoughts.

SGM Women Leader Ow Yin Peng, in her message, encouraged the members to base their practice on strong faith and daimoku in overcoming any challenges, and to have conviction that “those who now believe in the Lotus Sutra will gather fortune from ten thousand miles away,” as written in the Gosho.
