Tadika Seri Soka (TSS) held its 14th entrance ceremony on February 22, 2009. About 500 parents, children, and TSS staff attended the function.

Soka Schools founder Daisaku Ikeda sent a congratulatory message for the occasion. Mr Ikeda said to the 214 new students that TSS is like a fantastic castle filled with treasures. He urged the children to enjoy their treasure hunts and discover valuable treasures such as important friends, strong and gentle hearts and courage never to be defeated.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of TSS, Choo Kong Fei in his message announced that Mr Ikeda has mentioned that the names of all the children, parents, staff and teachers of Tadika Seri Soka for year 2009 will be kept in the Central Tower of Soka University in Japan as a token of appreciation. Mr Choo also thanked the parents, staff and SGM members who have contributed behind the scenes in support of TSS.

On this happy occasion, the children from the different classes also went on stage to perform lovely songs and dances for their parents.

After the event, Tadika Seri Soka invited consultant paediatrician, Dr Tang Siew Ching to give a lecture on keeping children healthy. In her lecture, Dr Tang stressed the importance of practising good lifestyle habits such as regular exercise, having enough sleep, good sanitation habits, a balanced diet to ensure the good health of children. Parents, she says, must be the role models for children. About 100 parents attended the lecture.
