On July 25 and 26, a total of 163 six-year-old children from TSS took part in a two-day camp at the kindergarten, an annual event for children who were graduating from TSS at the end of the year. Activities such as role playing, creative arts, and learning about science and nature, are among the highlights of the camp.

The most anticipated event of the camp was the campfire held on the evening of July 25. In the spirit of the Olympic Games, the campfire’s theme was on the Olympics. The games, however were fashioned after the “paralympic games” (Paralympics is the “Olympics” for the disabled athletes) in which the children have to compete with limited use of their hands and legs. This is so that they can taste first hand the challenges a Paralympian has to undergo when he competes. The children were also divided into groups representing different countries, enabling them to learn about friendship and peace among different people. At the end of the camp, each child was presented with a souvenir from the Beijing Olympics, which was a gift from SGI President Ikeda. This was to inspire the children to develop a concern for world events and to constantly think on how to create value. Through the activities of the camp, the children also learned about the importance of perseverance and not giving up halfway when working towards their goal.
On the morning of July 26, the children paid a visit to the National Planetarium, Kuala Lumpur to learn more about outer space.
