Initiated by the Malaysian Poetry Research association, SGM Perak and the Ipoh City Poetry Institute jointly organised a lecture on Chinese poetry at the SGM Perak Culture Centre, Ipoh. The organisers invited Tai Kim Yee to speak on “Chinese couplets” and Chen Liang Chong on “Chinese poetic phrases” Their lectures enlightened the crowd about the Chinese couplets and poetic phrases. In his welcoming remarks, SGM Perak Chairman Lai Soo Ha quoted from SGI President Ikeda, stating that art is the flower of our humanity. He also urged the audience to enrich their lives through involvement in art and culture.
