Beginning February this year, Nanyang Siang Pau has started a new column to introduce the SGI and the peace ideals of SGI President Ikeda. The column highlights dialogues between President Ikeda and world renowned intellectuals, scholars and political leaders. So far, the monthly column has highlighted contents from President Ikeda’s dialogues with British historian Arnold Toynbee, Chinese author Jin Yong and American scientist Linus Pauling. In May, the column will introduce President Ikeda’s dialogue with Confucian scholar Tu Wei Ming. The column was introduced with the hope that Malaysian readers will have a better understanding of the complex global issues and its solutions after reading about the views expressed by President Ikeda and his dialogue partners.
