On October 12, 2008, SGM Melaka organised a lecture on "Appreciating Chinese ink paintings" at the SGM Melaka Culture Centre. The speaker was artist Yee Sze Fook, Vice President of the Malaysian Chinese Cultural Association. A former senior lecturer at the Malaysian Institute of Art, Yee explained the intricacies of ink paintings in a simple and easy to understand language to about 250 people who attended the lecture. The lecture was chaired by SGM Secretary-General Koh Sia Feai.
