| SGM Kedah Performs at Chinese Cultural Heritage Festival |

On October 10, 2008, youth members from SGM Kedah were invited to perform a cultural dance at the 25th Malaysian Chinese Cultural Heritage Festival at the Sultan Abdul Halim indoor stadium in Alor Star, Kedah. The Sultan of Kedah, Tuanku Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah attended the event, which was also held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Sultan’s reign. The festival, a national event, is hosted in different states each year by the Chinese Assembly Hall. The event is aimed at fostering racial harmony through promoting a better understanding of Chinese culture among other races. A total of 25 youth from SGM Kedah performed a dance which depicted multi-racial harmony.
