SGM Selangor Performs at Citrawarna Malaysia 2008

Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) Selangor was invited to perform at the Citrawarna Malaysia – Colours of Malaysia 2008 (Selangor State level) at the Esplanade Tanjung Harapan, Port Klang on August 29, 2008. This annual event, which showcases Malaysian’s traditional culture via dance and music was organised by the Klang Municipal Council’s Corporate Department in conjunction with the National Day. SGM Selangor’s youth, 24 in total, performed multi-racial dances and recited extracts from Soka Gakkai International (SGI) President Ikeda’s poem Youthful Country with a Shining Future, which he wrote during his first visit to Malaysia in 1988. The poem depicted Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage.
