On New Year’s Day, SGM members met in culture centres throughout the country to welcome the New Year. The year 2011 has been designated the Year of Capable People and Dynamic Development.
In his New Year’s message, SGI President Ikeda, encouraged members to chant more daimoku for the benefit of society and to spread the creative energy of Nichiren Buddhism, and promote harmony and revitalisation in society through each individual’s human revolution.
Key leaders in each area announced directions to realise SGM’s growth aims. Leaders throughout all levels of the organisation will work more closely with front-line leaders in the district and strive to attain actual proof of human revolution.
Leaders of SGM Selangor, which staged Human Revolution, the Musical last year urged members to embark on a shared struggle with SGI President Ikeda and build a youthful organisation.
SGM Johor members watched the documentary Human Revolution and viewed an exhibition of the life and legacy of the three founding presidents of the Soka Gakkai. They were also urged to write letters to SGI President Ikeda to share with him the victory that they had achieved in the past year.
