SGM-Selangor Stages Human Revolution, The Musical

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Soka Gakkai’s founding and the 50th anniversary of SGI President Ikeda’s inauguration as the third president of Soka Gakkai, the SGM Selangor Youth Division staged a musical adaptation of Mr Ikeda’s novel The Human Revolution, which tells the story of Josei Toda’s efforts to rebuild the Soka Gakkai after his release prison towards the end of World War 2.


Titled Human Revolution, The Musical, this musical took over six months of preparation by a team of over 400, over 100 people who are in the acting cast. The musical was staged over seven shows in November and December 2010, at the Ikeda Peace Auditorium of the SGM Selangor Culture Centre. It was viewed by over 6000 people, including members of SGI-Taiwan and the Singapore Soka Association.
