"Seeds of Hope" shown at the National Science Centre
From December 3 to 11, 2011, the "Seeds of Hope" exhibition was on display at the National Science Centre, Kuala Lumpur. It was held in conjunction with the Centre's 25th anniversary celebration with the theme "Science for All". Various organisations such as universities, government departments and private companies also participated in the celebration. These organisations set up booths and displays to showcase the contributions of science and technology to society. The celebration attracted over 18,000 members of the public.
As this celebration was held during the school holidays, the Centre saw many members of the public visiting its premises and viewing the themed exhibitions and showcases in the Centre. The official celebration of the 25th anniversary was held on December 10, with the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Datuk Seri Panglima Maximus Johnity Ongkili as the guest of honour.
