Art For Peace 2011 Exhibition at SGM Selangor Culture Centre

From November 6 to 13, 2011, The Klang Artists Society and SGM Selangor co-organised the exhibition "Art for Peace 2011" with the objective of promoting peace and the arts in the community.

The exhibition was held at the SGM Selangor Culture Centre in Klang and is the third such collaboration between both parties. The exhibition was opened by the Speaker of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly Y.B. Datuk Teng Chang Kim. On display were 60 art works by 26 local artists and it attracted around 1,200 viewers while more than 50 people participated in other related activities. An art talk entitled "Appreciation of the Culture of Longevity" by the advisor of Klang Artists Society Mr Goh Boon Cheng was held in conjunction with the exhibition.
