Soka Gakkai Malaysia and Tadika Seri Soka Support Thai Flood Relief

On November 4, 2011, Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) made a donation of RM50,000 to the Royal Thai Embassy in Malaysia in support of relief efforts. Representing SGM were SGM Deputy President, Mr Liu Cheng Choong and Head of Public Relations Department Ms Katherine Chui in presenting the cheque to the ambassador, His Excellency Mr Thana Duangratana. The ceremony was witnessed by the Deputy Chief of Mission, Mr Songsak Saicheua and First Secretary, Mr Romdej Phisalaphong.

At the same time, with compassion and care, students of Tadika Seri Soka (TSS), an institution affiliated to SGM, collected RM11, 546.12 and donated the sum to the Royal Thai Embassy. The cheque was presented by its principal, Mr Lee Kah Poh, witnessed by administrative manager Mr Wong Chee Nien, teachers Ms Lim Ti Ying and Ms Yap Wai Phaik, students Arwena Padme Parameswaran, Amira Qistima and Josh Leong Wing Seong.
