SGM Selangor first launched this event in 2005 and this is the fourth time they have organised it. The increase in participants from the initial 2,000 in 2005 to the 8,300 this year shows increased support for this event in Selangor. Furthermore, the number of youth runners was a great encouragement and a strong indication that the people are supportive of peace.
