SSA Delegation visits SGM Mentor and Disciple Peace Hall

SSA students exchange with SGM Student Division members

On October 1, 2011 a group of sixty members of the Student Division of the Singapore Soka Association (SSA) visited the SGM Mentor and Disciple Peace Hall of Wisma Kebudayaan SGM. They viewed the "Our Beautiful Earth" exhibition at the Ikeda Peace Exhibition Hall and the "In Pursuit of Peace" exhibition at the Mentor and Disciple Peace Exhibition Hall. This visit provided added exposure to Mr Ikeda's peace philosophy and actions. They later pledged to emulate his example and contribute towards world peace.

The students later left their impressions expressing their determination to read more books and strengthening the mentor-disciple bond.

The delegation also visited the SGM Selangor Culture Centre the following day and participated in the "Run for Peace" event. They conducted an exchange with about 70 SGM Student Division members, sharing their experiences in carrying out kosen-rufu activities.

The students from SSA also presented the SGM Student Division with a banner bearing the message: "Friendship for life – Singapore and Malaysia Achieving Victories Together."
