SGI President Ikeda's Peace Proposal Forum
In conjunction with the 36th anniversary of SGI's founding, SGI President Ikeda issued his 2011 peace proposal entitled "Toward a World of Dignity for All: The Triumph of the Creative Life" on January 26. In response, the SGM Student Division initiated a campaign of peace forums based on the 2011 peace proposal throughout the country to share Mr Ikeda's philosophy of peace with SGM members and the public.

On June 29 2011, SGM Selangor Student Division conducted the first peace proposal forum at the SGM Selangor Culture Centre to an audience of 1,100 people.
In a lecture at the forum, a panel of five speakers and host thoroughly shared Mr Ikeda's insights to today's social challenges, his specific recommendations on the abolition of nuclear weapons and the development of a strong human rights culture to achieve world peace. They pointed out that it is Mr Ikeda's conviction that through their unceasing efforts and constant challenges, people can manifest limitless potential, live a creative life and create a new humanism.

SGM Selangor YWD Vice-Leader Loh Jean Fei, in her welcoming speech, quoted Victor Hugo who praised the expansiveness of the human spirit. She commended the seeking spirit of the Student Division members in sharing Mr Ikeda's peace ideals.
In his closing remarks, SGM Student Division Vice-Leader Hoh Ruey Shyang, urged the audience to respond to Mr Ikeda's call and, through their human revolution and dialogues, achieve the abolition of nuclear weapons and build a society that upholds human rights.

The SGM Selangor Student Division also conducted the Peace Proposal forum at SMK Taman Klang Utama, Klang to a total of 200 students and teachers.
On September 11, 2011, SGM Melaka conducted a peace forum in conjunction with the SGM Month of Peace which was attended by 130 people.
The peace forum in turn will be conducted in each state in an attempt to sow more seeds of peace in hearts of an ever-growing audience.
