SGM-Perak Participates in the Joint Celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri and the 54th National Day

SGM Perak was invited to participate in a joint celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri and the 54th National Day at an open house hosted by the Menteri Besar of Perak, YAB Dato' Seri Dr Zambry Abd. Kadir, at his official residence. The event, held on August 30, 2011, was attended by more than 10,000 people. The cultural programme included presentation of songs and cultural performances. Eleven SGM Perak Youth Division performed in the event.

In the speech, Dato' Seri Dr Zambry emphasised that we should be thankful to be living in harmony because of the love and unity existing amongst the people, regardless of race or religion. He reminded them of the thousands of starving and dying people in famine-stricken countries and stressed that he would be working hard to ensure that the people in Perak will continue to live in peace and prosperity.
