Tadika Seri Soka Organises Graduation Camp

Tadika Seri Soka (TSS) organised a graduation camp for six year-old students on July 29 and 30, 2011 with the theme: "We Love Mother Earth". The camp was held to instil in them the importance of protecting the environment in their everyday life and forms part of their holistic education.

The activities of the camp included a camp fire with the theme as "Saving the Earth Starts with You and Me"; colouring T-shirts; planting trees; recycling old newspapers and painting "My Dream World" on recycled paper.

Through these activities, the children learned the importance of saving precious resources, such as using environmentally-friendly bags to replace plastic bags, saving water, recycling paper and planting trees. The children also experienced the joy of building friendship and cooperating with friends.

The 167 TSS graduates pledged to put into action what they had learned during the two-day camp which included healthy eating habits, replacing polystyrene with reusable containers and making full use of water.
