SGM Negeri Sembilan Participates in the Pesta Persukuan Adat Perpatih for the Eighth Time

For two days, on July 16 and 17, 2011, the Negeri Sembilan state government held the Pesta Persukuan Adat Perpatih at the Muzium Diraja Istana Lama Seri Menanti, Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan. The festival was officiated by the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Y.A.B. Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan.

SGM Negeri Sembilan was again invited to participate by showcasing traditional Chinese food. This was the eighth participation of SGM Negeri Sembilan in the food festival which was held in conjunction with Malay traditional food festival to promote better understanding and unity among the people.

Among the food prepared by SGM Negeri Sembilan were desserts like tea-eggs and various cakes which received numerous enquiries on their ingredients and preparation.

Attending the opening ceremony were Yang Teramat Mulia Tengku Besar Tampin, Tunku Syed Razman b. Tunku Syed Idrus Al-Qadri, government officials and the general public totalling about 1,000 people.
