Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris Visits Tadika Seri Soka

On July 4, 2011, Tadika Seri Soka welcomed 19 guests from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) comprising of senior lecturers and trainee teachers.


This visit was initiated by Prof Dr Noraini Idris, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of UPSI. The delegation was headed by Assoc Prof Dr Sopia bt. Md Yassin, the director of the National Child Development Research Center (NCDRC) and Dr Mahani bt. Razali, the deputy director of NCDRC. Prof Noraini once gave a lecture to the parents in TSS.

The guests were welcomed by the singing of songs by 6 year-old children. They joined in the daily assembly and exercise session and were impressed by the children singing the national, state and TSS anthems. A sharing session on humanistic education was conducted before touring TSS. This was followed by an exchange dialogue session on early childhood education with TSS teachers. The session ended with the guests deciding to propose a suggestion for UPSI to offer more diploma and degree training courses for kindergarten teachers working in non-governmental organisations.
