June 10, 2011 was the 60th anniversary of the Soka Gakkai Women Division while June 4 was the third anniversary of the SGI Ikeda Kayo-kai. Throughout the month of June, more than 10,300 bright, fortunate and smiling members of the Women and Young Women Divisions held discussion meetings in 330 venues all over the country.
Their discussions were centred on the question, "What is humanism?" , studying about how to revive humanism in their daily lives, respect life and people and spread hope in society.

In his congratulatory message to the Women Division members, SGI President Ikeda hoped that they would become global models of fortunate women who would gently and happily spread courage, hope and peace to families and societies.
SGM Women Division Leader Ow Yin Peng and Young Women Division Leader Lim Tou Jing, in their respective congratulatory messages, encouraged the members that they "must not spend your lives in vain and regret it for ten thousand years to come." (WND-1, p. 622) They also urged the members to march forward happily together, care for one another and spread human values in order to achieve victories in life.
