SGM Celebrates March16, Kosen-rufu Day

Embarking on the 100th anniversary of establishment of Soka Gakkai, the arrival of "March 16 Kosen-rufu Day" in March, is indeed a great departure for this year. Not only were youth members holding commemorative gongyo meetings, the other division members also celebrated this significance event at their district level discussion meetings held in various venues.

Kuala Lumpur	Tawau, Sabah

In their commemorative gongyo meeting, the youth members emphasised on two objectives, that is, to encourage youth members to wholeheartedly hold dialogues and foster successors with the "spirit of mentor and disciple." Based on the new youth formation, they were determined to construct a "Youthful Gakkai", keeping their sight on the 100th anniversary of establishment of Soka Gakkai.

Johor

On March 20, SGM representatives nationwide participated in the "March 16 Kosen-rufu Day" commemorative gongyo meeting held at SGM Culture Centre, Cheras. The participants also offered prayers for the victims affected by the Japan earthquake and tsunamis on March 11.

Penang	Melaka

General Director Choo Kong Fei, in his speech, urged the participants to rise up to SGI President Ikeda’s expectations, as mentioned in the president’s message, "I entrust everything to you, the youth. You are the hope of the future. Please foster many new young men and women in order to build a youthful Soka Gakkai! Please inspire even more youth to join our movement!" Mr Choo also urged them to construct a "Youthful Gakkai" besides becoming strong victors.
