SGM Lunar New Year Commemorative Gongyo

SGM members welcome the Year of the Rabbit at culture centres throughout the country. Many SGM members took the opportunity to return to their hometowns to reunite with their family members, and held reunion activities in a joyous atmosphere.

SGM General Director Choo Kong Fei, in his Lunar New Year’s message, encouraged members to implement campaigns promoting discussion meetings and carry out kosen-rufu activities to develop capable people and spread the seeds of good fortune.

SGM Women Division Leader Ow Yin Peng took the opportunity to wish members a happy Lunar New Year and encouraged them to practise faith in order to achieve more victories through human revolution. She also hoped that at the end of the year members could relate their achievements.

At the SGM Johor Culture Centre, fund-raising was also carried out for victims of flooding in January 2011 in the northern part of Johor.

The colourful New Year celebration included cultural performances and games which enlivened the atmosphere of the first day the Lunar New Year.
