SGM Johor, in collaboration with the Johor state Economic Planning Unit and the Ministry of Tourism, Malaysia organised a Green Consumers Campaign to raise awareness on environmental protection in the community. More than 20 government agencies, non-governmental organisations and business entities participated in the campaign.

The event was held at the SGM Johor Culture Centre on November 27, 2010. It was officiated by State Executive Councillor Tan Kok Hong on behalf of the Menteri Besar of Johor.

The "Seeds of Hope" exhibition was also on display for this campaign. Other activities carried out included distribution of environment-friendly bags, charity sales of "green" products, viewing videos on environmental protection and exhibition of environment- friendly vehicles and paints. There were also demonstrations on making yeast and organic fertilisers. More than 2500 people attended the event.
