SGM Johor Performs at the 27th Pan Malaysian Chinese Cultural Festival

The Chinese Association of Johor Bahru organized the 27th National Chinese Cultural Festival on November 6, 2010 at Southern College, Johor Bahru . The theme of the festival was “Gloriously Colorful 1Malaysia”. The festival saw the participation of over 1500 singers and dancers showcasing how people of various races united to build a scenario of 1Malaysia.

One hundred performers from SGM Johor presented a Latin dance, a “1Malaysia Dance”, Chinese percussion and gymnastics performances. Other participants included were 250 teachers and students from Southern College, Malaysian Chinese students Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), the Southern Chinese Orchestra, the Johor Bahru 24 Seasons Drum group, and students from SJK (C) Kwang Hwa School.

The distinguished guests included the Menteri Besar of Johor, Y.A.B. Dato Haji Abdul Ghani Othman and representatives of the Federation of Chinese Associations, Malaysia.
