SGM and the Cao Tang Men Eastern Arts Society co-organised calligraphic art exhibitions in Johor and Melaka in June. The exhibition featured about 100 fans with calligraphic ink paintings.

The first of the two exhibitions was held at SGM Johor Culture Centre from June 11 to June 13, 2010. President of Cao Tang Men Eastern Arts Society, Cheah Thien Soong also gave a calligraphy demonstration. There was also a carving demonstration. The opening attracted about 1000 people.

Two weeks later, on June 25, the same exhibition opened at the SGM Melaka Culture Centre. Adviser of the Melaka branch of the Malaysian International Association of Modern Calligraphy, Lim Guan Swee JP, officiated the launch together with Cheah Thien Soong and Chairperson of SGM Melaka Sheow Gee Eng. Mr Lim, in his speech, complimented the efforts of SGM in promoting cultural activities for the benefit of the public. He also presented the SGM with his latest works of fan paintings. In conjunction with the exhibition, four calligraphers Cheah Thien Soong, Ong Chia Koon, Pang Heng Khan and Tai Boon Piow came together to give a lecture on Chinese calligraphy. The exhibition ended on June 27.
