Thirty members from SGM Penang participated in the sixth Relay for Life event at Penang’s Youth Park on June 5 and 6, 2010. They were among the 3,000 people who came together for this fundraising event organised by the National Cancer Society of Malaysia.

Participants walked around the “Hope Relay Circuit” for 16 hours non-stop, symbolising the on-going fight against cancer. SGM participants collected a total of RM6,528.00 which they donated to the National Cancer Society of Malaysia, Penang Branch. The walk was flagged off by Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, where its first lap was walked by around 100 cancer survivors. This is the fourth time SGM Penang has participated in the Relay For Life event.
