After the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of President Ikeda’s inauguration as Soka Gakkai president on May 3, comes the celebration of May 5 High School Division Day. High School Division members in respective states have gathered on this joyous occasion, encouraging one another in realising their mentor’s expectation.

Pahang

In their congratulatory message, SGM High School Division leaders Wong Wai Leong and Teh Chew Peng mentioned that High School Division Day is the day when President Ikeda decided to pass the ‘Flag of Justice’ from the 1st and 2nd Presidents of Soka Gakkai to the youth division. It is their wish that the youth division battle courageously against injustice and to always stand by the side of the common people.

SGM Perak celebrated the High School Division Day on June 6 and demonstrated the spirit of mentor and disciple of the three founding presidents through a simple sketch.

In Klang, SGM Selangor celebrated this occasion on June 12 with 200 high school students participating in the meeting which included activities like team building, movie appreciation, study of the founding spirit of the Soka Gakkai and so on. Active participation from members made the occasion a joyous and lively gathering.

Kuala Lumpur

On the other hand, SGM Melaka High School Division members celebrated this joyous occasion by visiting Multimedia University campus in Melaka. One of the aims of the visit is to inspire and encourage students to pursue higher education and contribute to the betterment of society.
