Soka University Students Visits Tadika Seri Soka

From February 23 to 27, 2010, a group of 16 students from Soka University, Japan (SUJ) visited Tadika Seri Soka (TSS) for an exchange with the children.

Each year, Soka University students travel overseas for such exchanges. This is the ninth visit to TSS by Soka University students. They have visited Malaysia almost annually.

Despite the language barriers, the SUJ students bonded well with the children through their sincerity and cheerfulness. They interacted and played games with the children and also presented cultural performances. The SUJ students also shared the “Rhythmic Exercise” termed as “My 80th Anniversary Exercise” with the staff of TSS.

Many of the students in the delegation aspire to be educators upon their graduation. The group leader of the SUJ students reflected on their visit, “We consider our mission to Malaysia as very important as it is the 80th anniversary of Soka Gakkai. Every day during our exchange meet, we remind ourselves of President Ikeda’s expectations for us and our mission to contribute towards educational development.”
