In his speech, Prof Redzuan pointed out that, at the press of a button, these weapons could wipe out life on Earth. “Abolishing nuclear weapons,” he emphasised, “is the responsibility of all who call themselves human beings.” Prof Redzuan also went on to warn that our apathy towards this reality was a form of “silent violence” which would allow the superpowers to build up these weapons, leading towards the extinction of the human race.

More than 600 people viewed the exhibition.
