On November 29, 2009, SGM Johor organised a health forum at the Kuang Yew Secondary School in Kulai. Three medical specialists were invited to speak: orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Tan Chong Tien on “Spinal illness and its treatment; eye surgeon Dr Khng Yen Wei on "New Procedure on Cataract Operation" and ENT surgeon Dr. Leong Jern Lin on "Sinus disorders and its treatment." The three doctors helped the audience to better understand the sicknesses and their treatment. In conjunction with the event, the exhibition “SGI President Ikeda: In Pursuit of Peace” was also displayed to enable the audience to gain better understanding of the peace, culture and education movement of SGI. The lecture attracted more than 800 participants.
