On October 11, the youth members of SGM Perak presented a Chinese dance at a celebration marking the Malaysia Day at the Kerian Riverside Park, Parit Buntar. The event was organised by the Perak State government in conjunction with Malaysia Day, September 16, which was declared a public holiday by the Prime Minister starting from 2010.

In Ipoh, SGM Perak was also invited to perform a cultural dance at the state level launch of “1Malaysia with the People” programme by the Prime Minister Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak on October 18, 2009. Around 50,000 attended the celebrations held at the Perak Stadium.
