SGM Penang organised the “Seeds of Change: Earth Charter and the Human Potential” exhibition in three venues in northern Perak, attracting a total of 1,700 viewers.
From October 7 to 13, 2009, the exhibition was held at Kuala Gula, SJKC Tong Wah in Bagan Serai and SJKC Nam Wah in Tanjung Piandang. Representatives from SGM Penang also held exchanges with the residents of Kuala Gula, a fishing village, besides presenting some books to library of SJKC Nam Wah. SJKC Tong Wah also requested SGM to hold another exhibition of different theme next year.
In addition, the documentary film "A Quiet Revolution" was also screened, enabling teachers and students to appreciate the environment, to realise the importance of protecting the natural resources and to reflect on their actions.
