In conjunction with the UN International Day of Peace on September 21, 2009, SGM Perak held "Seeds of Change: Earth Charter and the Human Potential" Exhibition at the Taiping Sentral Mall in Taiping; SJKC Kuala Kuang, Chemor; and three schools in Sungai Siput – SJKC Sungai Buloh, SJKC Salak Bahru and SJKC Shing Chung. The exhibition was held to promote greater awareness about the need for sustainable living and the protection of our natural environment.

At the Taiping Sentral Mall, the exhibition was held from September 20 to 21, 2009 and attracted about 1300 people including the Ambassador from Poland and Taiping Town Council officials.

The exhibition was then held at four primary schools. Though at their young age, the students were moved by the pictorials exhibited and cried out to the adults not to destroy the natural environment. They penned down their thoughts about the impact of the exhibition, showing that the seeds of change had been planted into their lives.
