The SGM Men Division Day, falling on August 24, was celebrated nationwide in August. With the theme: "The Path of Mentor and Disciple is the Key to the Brilliant Development of Kosen-rufu in the Future," men division members gathered for commemorative meetings. In many of these meetings, men division members shared inspiring experiences of their struggles based on faith. In his congratulatory message, SGI President Ikeda encouraged the MDs "who are playing active roles as the "pillar of trust" in your community and the "beacon of relief" for all your comrades-in-faith" to valiantly support and protect fellow members and help guide them to victory.
