On July 26, 2009, SGM Negeri Sembilan was invited to participate in the “Seremban Carnival Charity sales” in aid of the building fund of the Seremban Chung Hua High School.

SGM Negeri Sembilan members prepared three types of food and beverages for the sale: Curry puffs, sour plum drink and sour plum juice. Though it was raining that day, the carnival at the said school drew over 10,000 people. Within three hours, SGM Negeri Sembilan managed to sell all the stuff, netting RM3,500 for the school building fund.

The charity sales were initiated by Sin Chew Daily, which drew response from 83 organisations. The Minister of Housing and Local Government, Dato’ Seri Kong Cho Ha launched the opening ceremony. Among the distinguished guests were the Chairman of the Chinese Assembly Hall of Negeri Sembilan Lau Chee Boon; Sin Chew Daily Chief Executive Officer Koo Cheng and the Chairman of the MCA Negeri Sembilan State Liaison Committee Dato’ Dr. Yeow Chai Thiam.
