Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) Junior Division Day "July 3" was celebrated in the month of July, with gatherings of boys and girls in respective states.

In their message, Boys Division Leader Foo Keh Chong, and Girls Division Leader Tan Pooi Lai shared that SGI President Ikeda has called the junior division as the "hope of the world." They hope that the boys and girls will take the opportunity to train themselves through participating in SGM activities and become courageous like "lion kings".

On July 19, SGM Pahang organised an outdoor trip for the boys and girls to the Nature Batik Village in Balok, Kuantan. At the batik centre, they were given a demonstration on batik-making process, and also had opportunities for some hands-on activity.

In Ipoh, SGM Perak held a fun-filled Sports Day for the boys and girls on July 12, 2009 at the SGM Perak Culture Centre. A total of 213 children ranging from 6 to 12 years old took part in the event. Due to the large number of participating juniors, they were divided into various coloured groups. The event also had an official opening, in which participants sang Negaraku and later, the representatives of the groups took part in an oath taking ceremony. The slight drizzle did not dampen the mood of the games, and the participants competed in good spirits in various games including relays and tug-of-war.
