On May 17, 2009, SGM Johor (Honbu 5) organised a “Dialogue with the Police” at Taman Cemerlang, near Ulu Tiram. Representing the police were several officers from Johor Bahru Northeast Region’s criminal investigation and narcotics criminal investigation departments. Besides exchanging views on current crime and social problems, the police also screened videos on crime cases for members’ information. The dialogue was organised to promote better understanding and cooperation between the public and the police in crime prevention. About 100 people attended the dialogue.
