A total of 68 members of the SGM Kedah youth division performed in the Lunar New Year Festival celebration organised by Universiti Utara Malaysia on March 16, 2009. The event which included dragon dance, Chinese traditional music, dances and drum performance was held at the university’s Muadzam Shah Hall, with about 2000 people, including staff and students of the university in attendance. Deputy Minister of Education, Dato’ Dr Wee Ka Siong was the guest of honour.
