SGM Selangor Participates in Environmental Campaign

On April 28, 2019, the Sentosa state constituency located in Klang, Selangor held an environmental campaign titled “Clean and Green Campaign” at Padang Besar, Taman Klang Jaya to create awareness for a clean and green community. Selayang MP YB William Leong Jee Keen and Sentosa state assemblyman YB Gunaraj R. George were present and gave speeches.

SGM Selangor was invited to participate in this community programme, by putting up a band performance using recycled materials and the “Seeds of Hope” exhibition. Together with the rest of the participants, they moved around the area holding placards with messages calling for greater awareness for a cleaner and greener environment.

Other activities included planting trees, a children’s fashion show, clearing up rubbish in nearby areas and lucky draws. Other parties participating in this event included Yayasan Seribu Harapan, Taiwan Buddhist Tzu-Chi Foundation Malaysia, Warisan Sungai Klang and individuals.
