10 Oct 2012

SGM participated in the third International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM2012). IGEM2012 was held from October 10 to 13 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The event was a platform to allow businesses, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and members of the public to share information and opportunities to showcase eco-friendly technology and create awareness on the importance of sustainability.

IGEM2012 was organised by the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water, and was endorsed by various other ministries. Industry players and standards organisations have also lent their support to this event. Over 330 companies have set up some 600 booths at this expo. Exhibitors from 20 countries are represented at this event, which was opened by Prime Minister YAB Dato' Sri Mohamad Najib Abdul Razak on October 11.

SGM displayed selected panels from the "Seeds of Hope" exhibition during the event. The exhibition was viewed by some 280 people. The exhibition narrators also engaged in dialogue with these visitors to help them gain a greater understanding about SGM's efforts in society.
